What is Arch Pain?
Arch Pain [arch strain] is a burning sensation and or inflammation at the arch of the foot.
The cause of Arch Pain occurs when there is excessive stretching of the tissue away from the heel, pain in the heel and arch area results–this is known as Plantar Fascitis. People who have flat feet [over -pronation] are most susceptible to this condition, and Arch Pain may also occur after standing for an extended period of time.
Treatment
If Arch Pain is left untreated a bony protrusion [heel spur] may develop. If Arch Pain is due to a Flat Foot deformity, a custom orthotic is designed for proper arch support–this will prevent the over pronation and provide necessary pain relief.
